BSF shoot dead two Bangladeshi nationals
11/9/2005

MOULVIBAZAR, Nov 8 (UNB): Two Bangladeshi nationals abducted by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday were shot dead Tuesday at Alinagar border of Kulaura upazila, their close relatives told the news agency.
Tayebur Rahman (45) and Rawshan Mia (35) of Haripur village were fishing at Sharifpur near pillar No.1863 on Monday morning when BSF intruded into Bangladesh territory and took them at gunpoint to Tilabari outpost, said Azad Mia and Mohabbat Mia, relatives of Rawshan.
Tayeb and Rawshan were brought to Alinagar border at 6-30am Tuesday and were brutally shot dead near the pillar No.1846, they added.
Relatives of the victims living on the other side of the border also confirmed the killing.
Local BDR commander Lt Col Imamul Huda admitted that the two Bangladeshi nationals were abducted by BSF on Monday but he was yet to be certain if Tuesday's victims were the same men.
