Holders Dhaka Division trailed by 304 runs against leaders Chittagong Division in the first innings on the 2nd day of a four-day match of the Ispahani Mirzapore Tea 7th National Cricket League at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium here Saturday, reports UNB. Earlier, Chittagong Division resumed the day with overnight 464 for 9 in 90 overs and were all out for 473 runs in 92.2 overs. Number three Gazi Salahuddin scored second highest 75 runs off 70 balls with 12 fours and a six, while Wasseludin (44), Nazimuddin (33) and Masumuddowla (23) were the other notable scorers for Chittagong Division. Mehrab Hossain Jr captured four wickets for 148 runs in 28.6 overs while Uttam Sarker claimed three wickets for 54 runs in 13 overs. In reply, Dhaka Division made a good start scoring 68 runs in the first wicket stand between Uttam Sarker and Anwar Hossain, but finished the day at 169 for 6 in 72 overs. Ilyas Sunny and Sabbir Khan captured three wickets apiece for 21 and 34 runs respectively. In another match at Barisal Divisional Stadium, Barisal Division resumed the day with overnight 24 for none in seven overs in the 1st innings and were all out for 265 in 81.1 overs, equaling Khulna Division's 1st innings total of 265 runs. Ishraq Sonnet scored team highest 66 runs off 122 balls with eight fours while Mohammad Shiblu claimed four wickets for 85 runs in 28. In reply, Khulna Division started their 2nd innings and scored 49 runs for one wicket in 13 overs at stumps on day two. Opener Nazmus Sadat scored 24 runs while Aslam Ali Khan and Sadik Khan were batting with 21 and 3 runs respectively. In the day's other match between Rajshahi Division and Sylhet Division at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium, not a single ball was bowled throughout the day due to rain. Earlier, Friday, Rajshahi Division scored 306 for all in 88.2 overs in the first innings.
