Davenport delivers another dominant desert win
3/12/2006

INDIAN WELLS, California, March 11 (AFP): Second-seeded American Lindsay Davenport dodged a downpour and dusted off compatriot Ashley Harkleroad 6-0, 6-0 here Friday to reach the third round of the Pacific Life Open.
Davenport, who famously downed Russian Maria Sharapova 6-0, 6-0 en route to the final here last year, needed just 53 minutes to mop the court with the 20-year-old Harkleroad, ranked 78th in the world.
That put her safely back in the locker room before a series of desert downpours brought play to a halt.
