10/26/2005

A terrorist, injured Monday night in a mass beating in city's Karwan Bazar area, succumbed to his injuries at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at small hours Tuesday, reports UNB.
Hospital sources said shop owners of the Basundhara City Shopping Mall and local people chased the mugger, identified as Pichchi Nasir, when he demanded money from a shop owner and caught him in front of WASA Bhaban at night.
They gave him a good beating, leaving him critically injured. Later, the police admitted Nasir to the DMCH where he died at 12.45am. The body was sent to the morgue for autopsy.
