The 19th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Bangladesh Shilpa Bank (BSB) for its shareholders was held at the bank's head office in the city Monday. BSB Board of Directors Chairman Abu Ahmed presided over the meeting. Government representatives, all members of the board and BSB Managing Director Mukter Hussain were present in the meeting. Mukter Hussain informed the meeting that BSB had recovered over Tk 1.39 billion in cash during the financial year 2004-05, which is about 100 per cent of the target (1.40 billion). The bank also sanctioned over Tk 1.01 billion as long-term loan in favour of 37 projects.
