Govt suffering from pride, nepotism, impracticality: Dr. Kamal
2/12/2006

SAVAR, Feb 11 (BDNEWS): Gono Forum President Dr. Kamal Hossain has said the government is suffering from three deadly diseases - pride, impracticality and nepotism.
Dr. Kamal was addressing as the chief guest a meeting on the Islampur Government Primary School premises in Dhamrai organised by Dhamrai Gono Forum Unit Friday.
He said the country is totally devoid of democracy and has no education system of international standard.
The government has politicised the administration by recruiting party activists in all sectors including the police, and teachers at different universities..
People of the country have been suffering immensely for irregularities, corruption, price hike of essential commodities and acute electricity crisis, he said.
Charging that the government has totally failed to run the country, he urged the people to vote for honest, worthy and patriotic people in the next parliamentary election. Former MP of Dhamrai and treasurer of Gono Forum central committee Jamal Hossain chaired the meeting.
Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon, Gono Forum Organising Secretary Mostafa Mohsin Montu, presidium member Jahirul Islam and Organising Secretary Abdul Kader also spoke on the occasion.
