DBBL hands over Tk 3.0m to Cancer Society

          Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) handed over a cheque of Tk 3.0 million to Bangladesh Cancer Society to set up a modern cancer hospital in Dhaka, said a press release.
With this third tranche of payment, DBBL has so far donated Tk 7.0 million for the cancer hospital of its committed Tk 10 million.
As part of corporate social responsibility, the bank is making the donation for reducing the sufferings of poor patients of the country.
Managing Director of the Bank Md Yeasin Ali handed over the cheque to Vice-President of Bangladesh Cancer Society Mahbubuzzaman at a simple ceremony held at the Bank's head office recently.
While speaking at the function, Mahbubuzzaman expressed the hope that other corporate bodies of the country would discharge their corporate social responsibility (CSR) like DBBL.
Md Yeasin Ali gave a brief resume of the initiatives taken by the bank in every effort to carry out its CSR by taking part in diverse philanthropic activities for the benefit of the distressed humanity of the country.
