World Bank Executive Director Dhanendra Kumar arrives here today (Saturday) on a three-day official tour. On the first day, the WB official will visit a project of the Rural Electrification Board (REB) in Tangail. He will also be travelling to Manikganj to see the projects run by borrowers of the Grameen Bank and the Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC) Sunday. Kumar will have a meeting with BRAC Chairman Fazle Hasan Abed later on the day. Sources said he would make a courtesy call on Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia Monday. Kumar will also hold separate meetings with Finance Minister M Saifur Rahman, Secretary of the Economic Relations Division (ERD) Ismail Jabiullah and Garmeen Bank Managing Director Dr Muhammad Yunus. He will leave for Washington March 13.
