CHANDPUR, Mar 12 (UNB): Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard in separate drives seized 50,000 meters of current nets from the river Meghna Saturday.
Coast guard sources said they seized the banned nets during its campaign against hilsha fry 'Jhatka' catching at Ananda Bazar, Raj Rajeswar and Amirabad coastal areas.
