GOPALGANJ, Mar 14: Six people were killed and 40 others injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Char Pathalia in Sadar Upazila early Tuesday, reports UNB. Police said the Bagerhat-bound bus fell into the ditch when its driver lost his control over the steering at about 5:00am, killing six people on the spot. Five of the deceased were identified as Dilip Kumar Halder (40) a teacher of Nazirpu Shaheed Zia College in Pirojpur, Khokon Karmakar (40) a teacher of Morelganj SM College in Bagerhat, Yunus Sardar (50) of Bagerhat and his daughter Sidra Akhter (14) and bus helper Jagbati Karmaker (20).
