ADB to establish fund for Asian bird flu fight

          BANGKOK, Mar 18 (VNA): The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has said it will establish a 38 million dollar fund to help Asian countries combat bird flu.
The grant, part of the 470 million dollars aid package already pledged, aims to provide quick response measures to control and contain threats of the H5N1 strain of avian flu in ADB member countries, Indu Bhushan, chief of the ADB's avian influenza taskforce, was quoted by The Nation daily newspaper as saying.
