ACC to send organogram to Cabinet Division
FE Report
4/7/2005

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to send the proposed onganogram to the Cabinet Division within a couple of days for approval.
The new anti-graft body has also decided to start screening of the former Bureau of Anti-Corruption (BAC) officials by itself at a meeting Wednesday.
ACC has taken the decision of screening some 800 plus BAC officials due to delay in starting screening activities by the appointed committee, said a high ACC official.
ACC has also decided to send three organograms to the Cabinet Division, he added.
These organograms include two drafts that have been prepared by the ACC commissioners Moniruzzman Miah and Moniruddin Ahmed.
Other draft has been prepared by the Dhaka University Public Administration Professor Salahuddin M Aminuzzman following request by the ACC chairman.
The draft by Aminuzzman has suggested formation of two intelligence units and abolishment of districts level structure with a powerful regional set-up to curb the corruption at macro level.
Though ACC was formed November last, it could not start any function due to absence of organogram and manpower.
As per act, it will have to screen the former BAC officials before absorbing them in ACC or sending back them to the establishment ministry.
