Jalil sad over AL presence at Jamaat-attended meeting
8/10/2006

Awami League (AL) general secretary Abdul Jalil on Wednesday told leaders of the 14-party combine he was sad that some AL leaders on Monday attended a meeting with donors and political parties at which Jamaat-e-Islami leaders were present, reports BDNEWS.
Awami League leaders A H S K Sadek MP, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir and Abul Mal Abdul Muhit attended Monday's meeting at a hotel in Gulshan.
Jalil expressed sorrow during a meeting with the 14-party combine when Workers' Party president Rashed Khan Menon, Dilip Barua of Samyabadi Dal and Sharif Nurul Ambia of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) questioned the justification of sitting with Jamaat to 'please' the donors.
AL presidium member Amir Hossain Amu presided over the meeting.
