Cox's Bazar celebrates arrival of tourists
12/25/2005

COX'S BAZAR, Dec 24 (BDNEWS): With the bomb scare in the wane gradually throughout the country, thousands of tourists have started to flock the Cox's Bazar sea beach and its adjoining areas.
Local tourists have found solace on the Cox's Bazar sea beach away from the monotonous hustle and bustle of city life during the three-day public holiday that includes the Christmas Day today.
About 0.1 million tourists may be staying in Cox's Bazar now where around 300 residential hotels, motels, guest houses and rest houses can accommodate only 50,000 tourists.
Hotel sources said all luxury hotels and motels have already been booked up to December 26.
