Afro-Asian 'A Team' meet uncertain
12/26/2005

The scheduled Afro-Asian 'A Team' cricket tournament involving hosts Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Zimbabwe is uncertain as India recently expressed their inability to send their A team in the tournament.
The five-nation tournament is scheduled for January 18-28 in the port city of Chittagong.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) General Secretary Mahbub Anam Sunday said that they were informed that the Indian Cricket Board allowed their players to play the Ranji Trophy.
"Now I can't say whether the tournament takes place or not," said Mahbub Anam adding that they would not stage such a tournament that would treat as farce one.
Pakistan and South Africa earlier announced that they would not take part in the tournament and later Zimbabwean cricketers also refused to play under the current board, reports BDNEWS.
