Father strangulates daughter, kills wife
FE Report
2/13/2005

A father strangulated his minor daughter and slaughtered his wife in the city's Dhalpur area under the Demra Police Station in the early hours of Saturday, the police sources said.
Sources said Abdus Sattar, a tenant of the city's 50 Dhalpur, slaughtered his wife Runa Akter (23) and strangulated his daughter Rupa, a minor girl at dead of night.
On hearing the information, the Demra police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies of the victims from a closed-door house at around 12:30pm.
But the causes for killing of the victims could not be known immediately as Sattar, husband of Runa, has been absconding after the incident.
Sources said it was Runa's second marriage with Sattar and Rupa was the daughter of her first marriage in their family.
However, the bodies of the victims were sent to the Mitford Medical College Hospital (MMCH) morgue for autopsy.
