Bangladesh candidate wins in UN body poll

          The Bangladesh candidate to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, Kamal Uddin Siddiqui, was elected overwhelmingly at the elections held in the UN headquarters Wednesday. Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Siddiqui secured 133 votes. Among the countries elected to the Committee, Bangladesh ranked third. — UNB
