A five-member business delegation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) led by its President Mir Nasir Hossain left Dhaka for Bhutan Thursday, reports BDNEWS.
The delegation includes director of FBCCI Golam Murtaza Chowdhury (Ratan), former director Fazlur Rahman Paiker, President of Bogra Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Secretary General of FBCCI Syed Jamaluddin.
The delegation would attend the 35th Executive Committee meeting of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to be held on March 10-11.
The FBCCI delegation will meet the leaders of Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They will also meet the commerce minister of Bhutan and are also expected to discuss bilateral trade and investment issues.
The FBCCI business delegation will also attend a symposium on "Trade Liberalisation in SAARC", jointly organised by the SCCI and Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Prime Minister of Bhutan is expected to inaugurate the programme. Business leaders of other SAARC countries will also attend it.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is likely to be signed between the FBCCI and Bhutan Chamber during the visit.
The FBCCI delegation will return to Dhaka on March 12.
