3/12/2006

SYLHET, March 11 (BSS): The police will produce eight activists of Jamaatul Mujahedin Bangladesh (JMB), excluding its top leader Shaikh Abdur Rahman, before the court here tomorrow(Sunday)seeking a second phase of remand for them.
Superintendent of Police Ansaruddin Khan Pathan said this today (Saturday) and added a police team has gone to Dhaka to bring the accused to the city.
He said JMB Chief Shaikh Abdur Rahman need not be produced in the Sylhet court as earlier several cases had been filed against him in the courts of Dhaka.
The police said at the end of the 10-day remand, they are now preparing charge sheets in two cases filed against the accused JMB activists who were arrested in Sylhet on March 2.
