Commonwealth Day to be observed today

          The Commonwealth Day will be observed today focusing on the 53-member organisation's role in promoting health and vitality, reports UNB.
The Commonwealth Day is celebrated on the second Monday in March every year. The theme this year is: Health and Vitality-The Commonwealth Challenge.
The Commonwealth Society of Bangladesh will hold a symposium to mark the day at 3:45 pm at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIIS), said a press release.
Advisor for Foreign Affairs to the Prime Minister Reaz Rahman will be the chief guest while President of the Commonwealth Society of Bangladesh Mokammel Haque will preside over the function.
Maj Gen (Rtd) ASM Matiur Rahman, chief HIV advisor and chairman, Technical Committee of National Aids Committee, Bangladesh will speak on the HIV/AIDS situation in Bangladesh.
Commonwealth Journalists Association, Bangladesh will also hold a discussion to celebrate the day.
