SYLHET, Aug 9 (UNB): A Juba Dal leader who was injured in a factional clash on July 21 at Biswanath Upazila headquarters died Monday at a hospital in the capital. Local people said, Juba Dal leader Nure Alam (25), was critically injured in the clash and was rushed to the Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital in a critical condition. Later, he was shifted to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and finally shifted to the city's Samarita Hospital in an unconscious state where he succumbed Monday morning. Following the death of Nure Alam a tense situation was prevailing in his village Rampasha in Biswanath Upazila. Additional police forces were deployed in the village to avert any untoward incident.
