Bogra branch of Dhaka Bank Limited (DBL) started its operation at Jhawtola at Bogra recently.
First Senior Joint Secretary General of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Tarique Rahman as the chief guest formally inaugurated the branch through a simple ceremony.
Minister for Housing and Public Works Mirza Abbas and State Minister for Power Iqbal Hasan Mahmood attended the function as special guests.
Dhaka Bank Chairperson Rokshana Zaman, Chairman of Bogra Municipality Mahbubur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner Md Abdul Mannan, Superintendent of Police Matiur Rahman Shaikh and Managing Director of the bank Shahed Noman also spoke on the occasion.
In his speech Tarique Rahman asked the bankers to put their best endeavour to meet the ever-growing financial needs of the clientele. He congratulated Dhaka Bank Limited for opening its 26th branch and wished it a success.
He urged the bankers to maintain transparency and regulatory control in banking services for the healthy growth and expansion of the industry by laying the foundation of a sound monetary management.
