Nurul Huda Chowdhury joined Bangladesh Krishi Bank on promotion as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Saturday.
Prior to his promotion, he was general manager admnistation of the bank. He also worked as general manager in Barisal and Dhaka Divisions.
Chowdhury did his masters in Agriculture Economics with honours from Banladesh Agriculture University, Mymensingh and joined the Krishi Bank as a class one officer in 1977.
After joining the bank, Chowdhury got banking diploma in 1985 and obtained a degree on trainers' training course from the Connecticut University of the USA .
He worked with the UNDP in Nairobi and as a micro finance specialist in Kenya for two rears during 2001-2003.
Chowdhury was born at Ramnarayanpur union under Chatkhil Upazila in Noakhali district in 1954.
Chowdhury has to his credit 18 publications on Banking and Economics.
