Marginal gains in share prices

          Share prices posted marginal gains for a second consecutive session on the country's two bourses Thursday, market sources said.
Brokers said the benchmark indices moved slightly higher as the investors traded cautiously.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) benchmark gained 6.36 points or 0.34 per cent to close at 1840.00, while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) benchmark advanced 12.34 points or 0.36 per cent to close at 3377.36.
The DSE blue-chip index - DSE 20 - advanced 10.60 points or 0.52 per cent to close at 2046.70, while the CSE blue-chip index - CSE 30 - rose 19.80 points or 0.61 per cent to close at 3226.87.
Legacy Footwear rose 9.52 per cent to close at Tk 6.90 per share to become the topmost gainer of the day at the DSE.
Mona Food lost 6.77 per cent and closed at Tk 13.75 per share to become the topmost loser.
Of the total 190 issues traded Thursday in the DSE, 90 gained, 69 declined and 31 remained unchanged, while in the CSE, out of 77 issues traded, 35 gained, 32 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
Total turnover at the DSE stood at Tk 268.01 million in the day's trading against Tk 205.31 million of the previous day's trading.
Meanwhile, the CSE's total turnover stood at Tk 47.99 million against Tk 55.75 million of the previous day's trading.
