Himu (10), daughter of Major Zia, died in a tragic road accident on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Chowddagram near Feni Tuesday at about 1:00pm, said a press release.
The accident took place when the ill-fated microbus collided head-on with a BRTC bus.
Himu along with her mother, grandfather, sister and three uncles were going to her grandfather's house in Chittagong by a microbus.
Himu and the microbus driver died on the spot. Himu's grandfather, a senior customs officer and her mother are now undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in critical conditions.
Himu's Namaz-e-Zanaja was held at the Armed Forces Central Mosque, Dhaka Cantonment after Zohr prayers Thursday. She was buried at the Banani Graveyard.
