FE Report
2/8/2006

Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Monday with Pakistani hosiery manufacturers for exploring mutual benefits in the potential sector of investment.
BKMEA signed the MoU with Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association (PHMA) during the visit of a 15-member high-level delegation of All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (APTPMA) to the country.
Under the MoU, both BKMEA and PHMA will cooperate with each other in identifying the potential investment sector, support for investment and technology transfer.
Apart from these, both the trade bodies will also cooperate with each other in arranging meetings and seminars.
The Pakistani team evinced their keen interest to invest in Bangladesh and inquired about the payback period, value of land and availability, cost structure etc.
