Eye-operation of children born blind
Bank Asia to bear all cost

          Bank Asia has also launched a programme in collaboration with the Bangladesh Eye Hospital for the operation of all congenitally blind children of the country. The bank will bear cent per cent cost of all the operations.
Chairman of the Bank M Syeduzzaman said this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 21st branch of the bank at Station Road in Chittagong Monday, said a press release.
M Syeduzzaman inaugurated the branch. Vice-Chairmen A Rouf Chowdury and Arifur Rahman Sinha and Director Jahir Uddin were present on the occasion.
President and Managing Director of the Bank Syed Anisul Huq gave address of welcome. A large number of people including industrialists, businessmen and local elite attended the function.
In his speech the Chairman stated that Bank Asia is now a well-established bank with solid footings and the strength of the Bank is its capable Board of Directors, the efficient management team, the quality of service and application of the latest technology.
A Rouf highlighting the commercial importance of the port city mentioned that Bank Asia attaches special importance to the economic development of Chittagong and the Bank has been gradually expanding its network there.
Arifur Rahman stressed the significance of qualified and efficient management team for facing the challenges ahead.
The new branch will provide on-line banking facilities to its clients.
