2/8/2006

Bangladesh and Pakistan will sign several agreements and MOUs to strengthen cooperation in different fields during Prime Minister Khaleda Zia's 3-day official visit to Islamabad on February 12-14.
Diplomatic sources in Dhaka and Islamabad told UNB Tuesday that Khaleda Zia would hold official talks with Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz covering a whole range of bilateral issues in diverse fields.
It would be followed by signing of several agreements and MoUs aimed at further strengthening ties between the two countries.
Begum Zia will call on President General Pervez Musharraf. The Pakistan President will host a lunch for Khaleda Zia while Prime Minister Aziz will host a banquet in her honour.
The Bangladesh Prime Minister will also visit the earthquake relief camp in Islamabad.
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz last visited Dhaka in November 2005 to attend the 13th SAARC Summit.
