Muggers snatch private car at gunpoint in city

          A group of muggers Monday night snatched a private car by firing blank shots from in front of a house at Uttara in the city, reports BDNEWS.
The incident took place at the house no 9 of road no 8 in sector 10 of Uttara at around 11 pm.
Police and local sources said when the driver of the tenant of the house was going to lift the domestic help to her house by the car, the muggers, coming in another private car from the opposite direction, obstructed the way.
Three or four muggers got down from the car, fired blank shots and snatched the car from the driver at gunpoint.
Uttara thana police said the snatched car could not be recovered till Tuesday noon nor any case was filed in this regard till the filing of the report.
