Sunken trawler salvaged

          KIRTONKHOLA, Feb 28 (BDNEWS): The trawler that sunk in the Kirtonkhola river in Charmonai was salvaged after 16 hours Tuesday.
Hamza, a rescue ship of BIWTA, salvaged the trawler at about 1 pm Tuesday. But no body was found in it.
Police sources said they were not aware of anybody missing.
BIWTA Barisal office said the trawler used to ply on Barisal-Mehediganj route. But it started to carry passengers on Barisal-Charmonai route without any route permit to carry passengers to attend a Mehfil at Charmonai.
The trawler sank with about 250 passengers aboard in the Kirtonkhola river at about 9 am Monday.
