CHITTAGONG, Mar 9: A fierce fire broke out in yet another garment factory at the GEC crossing of the port city Wednesday night, gutting huge amount of apparels items, reports UNB. No one was injured in the fire as the authorities kept the factory closed at night after the disastrous fire at the KTS Textiles in Kalurghat on February 23 that left 58 dead and over a hundred injured. Fire Brigade sources said the fire on the 6th floor of the Intimate Garments and Sweater Factory originated from an electric short-circuit at about 11:00pm. On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and put out the blaze early in the morning.
