TOKYO, Mar 09 (AP): The Bank of Japan abandoned on Thursday its super-easy monetary policy that the central bank has kept for five years by keep ing interest rates at zero and pumping extra cash into the financial system, NHK TV reported.
The report from the quasi-public broadcaster did not cite sources on the decision that it said came at the end of a two-day policy board meeting. Other details were not immediately clear.
