World Health Day today
4/7/2005

The World Health Day will be observed in Bangladesh as elsewhere in the world today, laying special focus on healthcare of mothers and children, reports BSS.
This year's theme of the day is " Make every mother and child count".
President Iajuddin Ahmed in a message on the eve of the day urged all to make their concerted efforts to ensure better healthcare services to mothers and children.
Terming healthcare of mothers and children as indispensable, Prof Iajuddin said that in many countries this issue is regarded as an index of national development.
In a separate message on this occasion, Prime Minister Khaleda Zia said that mothers and children are a significant part of the country's total population.
