Two women die in separate incidents

          BARISAL, Mar 31 (UNB): Two women were murdered in two separate incidents at Muladi and Bakerganj upazilas of the district Wednesday night.
Police and locals said unknown miscreants chopped Mariam Begum, 75, a widow, to death while she was sleeping alone at her house at Banimardan village in Muladi Upazila.
On information, the police recovered the bloodstained body next morning and sent it to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH).
In another incident, the police recovered the body of another woman who from West Shialghuni village in Bakerganj Upazila in the morning.
The victim was identified as Henara Begum, 40, wife of Alauddin Kazi of the same village and it was suspected that after murder the killers hanged the body from a tree to prove that she had committed suicide.
Police sent the body to the SBMCH for post-mortem. The inmates of her in-laws' family went into hiding since the incident.
