Pakistan and Bangladesh stressed the need for exchanging experiences on legal assistance, jail reform and case management in the two countries, reports UNB. The need was expressed during a meeting between the visiting chairman of Pakistan Senate Mohammadmian Soomro and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Moudud Ahmed at a local hotel Thursday. During the parley, they discussed the parliamentary process and the activities of the judiciary in the two countries. The law minister informed the Pakistan Senate chairman that judiciary of Bangladesh is totally free and the press enjoys full freedom. The government is working to separate the judiciary from the executive, he said. Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Manzar Shafiq was present during the meeting.
